I feel like I'm truly living when I'm surrounded & engulfed by natural beauty, whether it's what I bring into my space, what I wear, or what I put on my skin. I've created a collection of my favorite items to indulge my senses. Each one is handcrafted with care and love by myself and no two items are exactly alike. I do hope you'll take a look around and find something that calls to you.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, I began to re-evaluate the things I ate, touched, put on my body, cleaned with, and purchased. I've made a lot of changes since that day. Because I tested negative for the breast cancer gene, doctors cannot say with certainty how I managed to contract this life-altering diagnosis, so 'environmental causes' was one of their guesses. I've always known that everything we put on our bodies and in our mouths has an effect on our health, but I had never examined it so intently before this time. Over the past year, I have done countless hours of research to figure out the best products to use on my body; those that are as natural and organic as possible, using only chemicals produced by the earth. Using this information, I created my own face and body wash, lotion, night face cream, soaps, scrubs, deodorants, and bath bombs. It has taken me a year to perfect these recipes and the changes in my skin are amazing. I had normal skin to begin with, but now my skin looks more supple and youthful than ever before. I've been sharing my concoctions with family and friends for the past year and they have encouraged me to make this a small business.
Inspired by the freedom and light, silky touch of a luna moth's wings, The Luscious Moth has been born from a passion for simplicity, nature, and pure goodness. In addition to the skin care products I will be offering art pieces that I have been creating. Art is what sustains me in this life and I love to share that with others.
